The Essential Mix on Radio 1 had its 500th act last Saturday, with over 900 Saturdays and 900 sweet dance music sessions — and none other than Aeroplane were selected to man the decks.
The occasion got me digging back through my pile of old EM’s, and this one by Massive Attack is the oldest one I have. Reminded me of the era of 1990s hip hop that made me fall in love with the genre. Funky breaks and good flows. Why can’t hip hop be like this anymore… Anyhoo, enjoy.

Correction OoC, Areoplane was the 500th act on the EM. Since the EM has been around since 1993 it has aired almost 900 times.
