Two years of amassing epic 80s tracks in the event I come across an 80s party, and the stars aligned last Saturday for a truly epic night. The outfits were amazing and the booze was flowing, gradually built up the hype — I think the biggest dance floor I’ve slain to date.
So much fun, and I even won an award. It’s a shame to have to throw the piano key tie to the back of the closet for the foreseeable…

The Essential Mix on Radio 1 had its 500th act last Saturday, with over 900 Saturdays and 900 sweet dance music sessions — and none other than Aeroplane were selected to man the decks.
The occasion got me digging back through my pile of old EM’s, and this one by Massive Attack is the oldest one I have. Reminded me of the era of 1990s hip hop that made me fall in love with the genre. Funky breaks and good flows. Why can’t hip hop be like this anymore… Anyhoo, enjoy.
