While not drumming for Crystal Castles, Parallels also produces sweet robot disco tracks. Here is one of his latest efforts, filled with warm synths and mellow vibes.
Damn, this one bumps! Hey Champ DJs combine old school flavor and a wicked house beat. “Old Chicago Town” is the new hotness.
Hey Champ DJs - In the White City (Murder Castle edit)
A little while back there was a quite a frenzy in the blogosphere over a lovely French house track that Thomas Bangalter of DP supposedly leaked. Ha! Turns out the real talent lies with young Louis La Roche from the UK. Here are my two faves from his new EP–all five (as well as a link to purchase higher quality mp3s) are up over at Disco Dust.
Louis La Roche - Love (full version)
Louis La Roche - Peach
And speaking of Daft, their timeless Stardust anthem gets the 1/2Alive treatment courtesy of My!Gay!Husband!. Remains true to the original initially, then he mixes it up with a funky bassline and some extra samples a couple minutes in.
Stardust - Music Sounds Better with You (M!G!H! WeHeartDaftPunk remix)
Another great electro duo from France, I’ve been loving everything from Revolte. The punk rock We are Terrorists remix of this track from a while back was awesome, and this new mix by Blanche Dubois takes it in a synthier direction.
Revolte - Ironical Sexism (Blanche Dubois remix)
This track was new to me, but Jetset Hifi have been blasting in my headphones almost non-stop since I found it. The synthy stabs are cranked to the max, making for quite the indie banger.
DW - Hijack (Jetset Hifi remix)
Breakbot is my personal Corona commercial of electronic music. Warm, fluffy and groovy. Here is another little track, which, though incomplete, still generates 2:44 of sunshine before getting cut off.
Rejoice! U-Tern is posting more of his old school funk and disco jams again. Here is just a taste, and check out the erotic jazzercise clips he threw up recently if you get a chance. Hilarious.
Bah Samba - Let the Drums Speak
And to conclude this week’s harvest, we have a sweet electro cover of the Joy Division classic from Cryptic. Soft, wistful female vocals and a driving electro bassline–it’s both pretty and dancey. Thanks, homey!
