Just got a link to the new single by Esser that releases next week on the Merok label. Was excited given how much fellow label-mates Klaxons and Crystal Castles rock. Equally so to see that he’s touring with the Mystery Jets next month. Serious street cred.

If only more downtempo indie music had such funky big beat drum loops–I would definitely listen to more. The fuzzy bassline and interesting vocals also make large contributions to the fun. “Love is no excuse for bad art”. I see plenty of bad art at work, so that struck a chord…
