I thought the Dada Life remix of this Alex Gopher track seriously rocked. The Riot in Belgium re-working is a bit slower, but the breakbeat and choppy melodies are good and funky.

Alex Gopher - Aurora (Riot in Belgium & Knightlife remix)

I am to the point where I grab any remix by The Twelves that I come across. This is a fun track.

Black Kids - I’m Not Going to Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You
(The Twelves remix)

This track is not new, but I heard it for the first time recently on Sirius and liked it. I’m also very pumped to see Erol Alkan at Coachella soon. I like his grinding electro sets and admire that he plays a ton of his own remixes.

Franz Ferdinand - Do You Want To (Erol Alkan remix)

Been seeing Grum’s remixes pop up on Palms Out and elsewhere in the blogosphere more and more lately. This is the best I’ve heard so far. Hard, driving bassline and indie vocals–what could be better?

Late of the Pier - Space and the Woods (Grum remix)

Here is the latest from LCD–a groovy track for the 21 soundtrack, which I think just came out. James Murphy, you are the man.

LCD Soundsystem - Big Ideas

Chock another one up to the beauty of the blogosphere. Hadn’t heard of Los Valentinos before, but the Peruvian indie band has toured with the likes of Soulwax, WhoMadeWho, The Presets and Datarock. Solid, and the Bag Raiders remix adds a nice electro vibe. You know I can’t get enough of that…

Lost Valentinos - Kafka! (Bag Raiders What Ya’ll Know About Seven remix)

Gotta love Muscles, and this Damage edit makes for quite the house anthem.

Muscles - Lauren from Glebe (Damage edit)

This Rails to Russia track starts off light and then gets dancey in a hurry. Will make for a good podcast intro track. Hmm. Yes. Another reason to look forward to Sundays, though ‘Remix Tuesday’ would be more appropriate since those guys are blowing up and are so busy now.

Rails to Russia - Turning into You (Lismore remix)

I finally clued into why everyone is raving about Crystal Castles. Sweet remix of Soho Dolls here, reminds me of a Ladytron mix.

Soho Dolls - Trash the Rental (Crystal Castles remix)

Wouldn’t be a BlogTroll post without a Fred Falke track! This was doubly good news to hear that Erland Oye has a new album in the works as well. The delay on the vocals makes it quite ethereal.

Whitest Boy Alive - Golden Cage (Fred Falke remix)

[And now off to the KINKY concert with B-Pipe. Woo hoo!]

[…] I’ve heard a few Dragonette remixes, and they were just a little too mellow for me. Quite to the contrary, this Lismore remix bumps as much as their Rails to Russia remix posted a few weeks ago. […]
